Max Werkenthin III

Max is a native Austinite.  Max has been a practicing attorney for thirty three years.   His boating life began with his family on Lake Austin and he enjoys both sailing and power boating.  His father is a long time Austin Power Squadron member and boater in the central Texas area.

Clint H. O'Connor

Clint joined the Austin Power Squadron just to learn how to use a sextant, and ended up staying on to become a navigator. He is active in Cooperative Charting, and works in the world of computers. He has sailed the high seas, both on his trimaran, and on other boats and ships, across the Atlantic and down to the Antarctic Circle!

Christine Geist

Christine achieved her Life-time Membership status this year with 25 merit marks.  Christine has served as District Educational officer as well in the local squadron.   She is a multiple award winning instructor.  She and her husband have boated the Texas coast, the Highland Lakes and more.  They travel extensively both in and out of the US.

Wallace G. Tuten

"Wally" is an avid boater and has been dedicated for many years to teaching young people to boat safely and responsibly through the Sea Scout program.

Charles Strong

Charles has been an Austin institution for years, both in his own mind and in reality.  An avid boater all his life, he has owned all kinds of boats from fully restoring a Cal 25 sailboat to numerous power boats.  He and his wife, Ginny, have served as district and local officers for many years.   They enjoy boating on the Highland Lakes and chartering.

Sherri Wicker

Sherri is a local catering company owner and enjoys the downtime of Lake Travis boating.  She has been a member of APS for 8 years and looks forward to more time on the water.

Chet Geist

A charter member of Austin Power Squadron in 1961, Chet has served the Power Squadron for 50 years in many capacities, both local and district.  Chet and Christine are proud boaters and Bluebird owner and enjoy all sorts of travel. 

Bob Stubbs

Local businessman and Lake Travis Chamber of Commerce Board Member, Bob, a 45 year boater, has his Captain’s license and  has a 18’ Boston Whaler Dauntless and a 32’ Bayliner Motor Cruiser located in Port Aransas.  A new member, Bob has taken a leading role in the squadron as Publicity Chairman and VSC Chairman.
